In 2021 Messi left the Barca after 20 years and joined Manchester City F.C for a deal reportedly £104 million, which is the most expensive transfer in the history of the sport.
Off the field, Messi is known for his humility and charitable work. He has supported numerous charitable causes throughout his career, and in 2016, he founded the Leo Messi Foundation, which works to promote access to education and sport for children in need.
